Job Summary

Job Summary

Responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability for creative expression in visual terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression consistent with school guidelines; to develop aesthetic understandings and appreciations; to discover and develop talents of students in the field of art.

Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree and a valid California teaching credential. (A Master's Degree in Education is preferred but not required.) The successful candidate will demonstrate: - Teaching experience in their field - Belief in the unlimited potential of every child, and that every student can succeed when provided the proper access and conditions for success - Ability to work successfully with an ethnically & economically diverse student body - Commitment to disrupting inequities for marginalized students, both systemically and within one's own practice - Ability to excel as a member of a team Most importantly, applicants must possess flexibility, curiosity, perseverance, a sense of humor, and a burning passion to see students succeed.

Candidates must possess a valid California teaching credential, or be on track to have a credential by the start of the 2025-26 school year.
