INTERVENTION SPECIALIST BASIC FUNCTIONS: The job of Intervention Specialist is done for the purpose of working with individual and/or small groups of students under the direction of a certificated teacher, and supervision of the Principal, to provide intervention services. The Intervention Specialist performs a variety of related duties in the maintenance of an effective learning environment. This job collaborates with site personnel and reports to the Principal. Ability to: Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials for the purposes of support and reinforcement. Communicates with teacher(s) for the purpose of providing relevant feedback and information on student progress and behavior. Assists students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments and intervention services.
