Job Summary

The Community School Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of the California Community Schools Partnership Program Implementation grant and the California Community Schools Framework for Bangor Union (Bangor, CA), Golden Feather Union (Butte Valley/ Concow, CA), and Pioneer Union (Berry Creek, CA). Reporting directly to the Superintendent of each District (with Bangor Union bring the Hosting LEA of employment), this position will drive collaboration and innovative strategies to enhance educational opportunities and community engagement across three Butte County small Districts. This is a grant funded position for 5 years. The California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) Grant is designed to support and expand the implementation of community schools in California. Community schools are public schools that partner with families and community organizations to provide integrated student support, expanded learning opportunities, family engagement, and collaborative leadership. The primary functions of the CCSPP Grant include: Funding Support: Provides grants for planning, implementation, and expansion of community schools and should perform. Student-Centered Services: Offers wraparound services, including mental health support, academic assistance, and health care. Family and Community Engagement: Encourages active participation from families and local organizations to create a supportive learning environment. Equity Focus: Targets underserved communities to address disparities in education and ensure equitable access to resources. The program aims to create schools that holistically address students' academic, emotional, and social needs while fostering community collaboration.
