Job Summary
North Orange County ROP supports the following school districts: Anaheim Union High School District, Fullerton Joint Union High School District, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, Brea Olinda Unified and Los Alamitos Unified. Our instructors teach Career Technical Education (CTE) courses, as high school elective classes, in many exiting career paths, including nursing, digital design, construction, and more. Under the direction of an Instructional Administrator, a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) substitute instructors provide instructional support to secondary school or adult students in the absence of the teacher of record to students enrolled in career technical education courses designed to prepare them for college and career.
Requirements / Qualifications
Licensing Requirements: *Must possess a valid CA Emergency 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit OR a valid CA Teaching Credential (CTE, Designated Subjects, Single Subject, Multiple Subject, Specialization) *PPS credentialed applicants are welcome to apply to sub-teach. Instructions for Applicants: Applicants may attach a résumé, letters of recommendation, certificates, or other materials relevant to the application; the application and any attached materials become the property of North Orange County ROP and will not be returned to the applicant. North Orange County ROP reviews the applications submitted on a timely basis to select an interview group of candidates who appear to possess the most extensive and relevant experience or abilities for the position. Not every candidate who meets the minimum qualifications is interviewed. Therefore, the application should be thorough, detailed, and clear. A résumé will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
