Build your experience and make a difference, all whilst earning market leading rates. Scoot is proud to pay up to $24 hour, along with providing you the flexibility to choose when you want to work and having a dedicated consultant committed to finding you the right roles.

At Scoot, we support you by:

  • Listening to your needs and preferences before matching you with assignments
  • Providing you your very own designated Scoot consultant - most of our consultants are former educators so they are able to provide advice based on their previous experience
  • Doing 1:1 check-ins and discussing positive and constructive school feedback with you

Additional Benefits: 

  • Get paid weekly
  • Earn up to $20 - $24/hr for short term assignments and more for long-term. While pay varies based on credentials, the school, and the assignment, we strive to pay the highest rates among substitute providers.
  • Be a W-2 employee so no worrying about withholding for taxes
  • $0 onboarding costs: We reimburse you for expenses related to state background checks and time spent training after you’ve worked your first shift with Scoot.
  • Refer friends to sub with Scoot - after they work 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards

Application requirements:

 

  • At least 1 yr experience working with children/adults with special needs; OR
  • At least 1 yr year in a classroom /education setting
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree, 48+ college credits, or a copy of your CBEST test results
  • Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
  • Take a TB Risk Assessment & Background check (we'll reimburse the cost of the Background Check you do with Scoot!)
  • You’ll stand out if you have any SpEd-specific training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience
  • You’ll stand out if you have been trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
