About the Employer

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County’s most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 475,000 students. In addition to providing direct instruction to students through its own alternative and special education programs, OCDE administers an array of programs and services that are critical to the operations of local school districts and community colleges, facilitating professional development, legal guidance, payroll, career and technical education support, high-speed internet access, Local Control and Accountability Plan assistance and approval, resources for families, and student enrichment. Job Summary

Job Summary

The Communications and Media Services team at OCDE showcases, supports, and enhances the work of the Orange County Department of Education and Orange County schools through services such as video production, copywriting, media relations, graphic design, web design, and event planning. As a collaborative group, we partner with key stakeholders across the department to create a diverse range of engaging content. Additionally, we provide audiovisual support and equipment for meetings and meeting spaces. Join the Orange County Department of Education as a Producer, Media Services and bring your expertise to a dynamic team dedicated to crafting high-quality instructional, promotional, and public information content. In this role, you will engage in every aspect of media production—from pre-production planning and scriptwriting to on-set execution and post- production editing. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced audio, video, and lighting equipment to produce impactful multimedia content for diverse audiences. We’re looking for innovative individuals with a background in film, video or television production, or a related field, and at least two years of experience in video and audio production. Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • Two (2) years of progressively responsible video/audio production experience. • Four (4) year college or university with a major in television production experience or a closely related field. • Experience in live/web streaming production and the use of broadcast quality and high-end production equipment is preferred.
