* * * POSITIONS OPEN UNTIL FILLED * * * We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Instructor to join our Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, experience in adult learning, and a strong commitment to shaping the next generation of nurses. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the Principal or administration, the LVN Nursing instructor delivers class (theory) and or Clinical instruction to LVN students according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods. The instructor will provide instruction that meets State regulations and compliance standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Credentials Education: . Bachelors degree in Nursing or Master degree. (preferred) . Hold a current California active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. (required) . Have completed a program or courses offered by an accredited school with instruction in administration, teaching, curriculum, and counseling. . K-12 Teaching Credential (required) . Completion of the Adult Learning: Theories, Principles and Applications course. . Employment is contingent upon approval from the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician (BVNPT) and also for the CNA approval from California Department of Public Health. . Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience (within at least 1 year in a long-term care facility or hospital setting (preferred) . Strong understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum development. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: . Previous experience teaching in an LVN or nursing program. . Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. . Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and tools.

Personal Qualities: Appearance, grooming, and personality which establish a desirable example for pupils ability to meet district standards for physical and mental health. Recommendation from student teaching supervisors or other professionals who have observed the personal characteristics, scholastic attainment, and classroom performance of the teacher. Demonstration of health care professional’s ability to express ideas clearly, verbally and in writing. Willingness to support the Mission and Philosophy of the Lynwood Unified School District and the Lynwood Adult School. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: . Deliver engaging and effective instruction in accordance with the LVN curriculum and BVNPT standards. . Prepare and deliver lesson plans, lectures, and hands-on clinical practice. . Supervise students during clinical rotations and ensure they meet clinical objectives. . Provide academic support and mentorship to students. . Maintain accurate student records and attendance. .
