Job Summary

The role of Community School Coordinator at Monterey Peninsula Unified SD is a dynamic and pivotal position focused on executing the transformation of Seaside Schools into full-service community schools. As the key facilitator, the Coordinator collaborates closely with school leadership, families, students, and the site committee to assess and address the diverse needs and assets of the school community. Anchored in the six key practices, -Collaborative Leadership and shared power and voice -Expanded, Enriched Learning Opportunities -Rigorous, community-connected classroom instruction -Culture of belonging, safety and care -Integrated systems of support -Powerful student and family engagement The Coordinator ensures the efficient coordination of student and family support services. This strategic position contributes significantly to the creation of a thriving learning environment that emphasizes both academic achievement and holistic student wellness. Reporting directly to the School Site Principals, the Community School Coordinator serves as a vital link, fostering collaboration between the schools and community partners to drive the successful implementation of this transformative initiative. Serving Dual Language Academy, Del Rey Woods, Ord Terrace, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr School of the Arts, Seaside Middle School, and Seaside High School
