Lagunita Elementary School District is a unique TK-6 environment located in rural North Salinas. We have expanded to offer Transitional Kindergarten, and we are looking for an enthusiastic teacher qualified for the TK-setting. A PK-3 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Specialist Instruction Credential is desired, but candidates in a program may be considered with a K-6 Elementary Credential or relevant experience and progress toward the PK-3 Credential. The ideal teacher demonstrates strong multitasking skills, with early childhood education (ECE) experience, a positive attitude, and a willingness to pitch in and join the small but dedicated team here.

A Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher helps students prepare for kindergarten by creating a supportive learning environment. They plan lessons that promote literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and English language development. TK teachers also assess students' learning and provide support for their individual needs. The TK teacher will work closely with Lagunita staff in a collaborative environment.
