Job Summary
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of school transportation, with a strong emphasis on data collection, reporting, and logistical planning. This role includes creating and maintaining transportation schedules, ensuring vehicle compliance and safety, supervising drivers, and leveraging data tools (such as Excel, RouteXL and Circuit) to plan and adjust routes, supervise drivers, and troubleshoot operational issues. The Coordinator will collaborate with administrators, staff, students, and families to meet the transportation needs of students efficiently and safely. The Coordinator will also be responsible for driving students regularly. This position combines a part-time transportation coordinator with a part-time Instructional Aide or Student Support Specialist position to equal a full-time position.
