We are seeking a highly qualified Varsity Swim head coach for the Monrovia High School. Responsible for organizing and training students in the competitive sport of swimming and taking all necessary steps to ensure that event preparations are in order under the Supervision of the Varsity Coach. All postings/positions are tentative and pending athletics and Human Resources approval. NO COACH IS TO PERFORM WORK SERVICES/ATTEND PRACTICES WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM HUMAN RESOURCES.

Requirements / Qualifications

* Completion of one of the following courses: “Fundamentals of Coaching” course completion certificate, Online Course, available through National Federation of High Schools (www.nfhslearn.com) or "Coaching Principles” completion certificate. Online course, available through Human Kinetics Coach Education Center (http://www.asep.com/courseInfo/purchase_courseinfo.cfm?CourseID=228&OrgID=28) * "Sudden Cardiac Arrest" course completion certificate. Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (www.nfhslearn.com) * "Concussion in Sports" Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (www.nfhslearn.com) * "Heat Illness Prevention" Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (www.nfhslearn.com) * CPR & First Aid: evidence of current certification. MUST be recognized by American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. (Online Courses unacceptable) * TB Test: Evidence of current negative test OR Adult TB Risk Assessment Form. * Current Driver License at time of employment. Candidates to upload required Certificates to EdJoin.org application in order for applications to be considered and prior to meeting with Principal and/or Athletic Director.
