Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, the Director of Food Services is responsible for planning, developing, administering, and overseeing the District’s food and nutrition program. This role ensures efficient and effective production methods, compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, and adherence to health, safety, and nutrition standards. The director will manage and coordinate the activities of food service staff District-Wide.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience: BA degree, or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in specific areas of concentration: food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field; OR BA degree in any academic major, and a State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors; OR BA degree in any major and at least five years of experience in management of school nutrition programs. Desired Qualification: Food services experience in a high school environment.
