Located in Yreka, California, the Siskiyou County Office of Education provides direct educational programs for a specific student population and financial oversight of budgets of school districts in Siskiyou County. Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the County Superintendent, the Associate Superintendent, Special Schools and Services/SELPA Executive Director plans, coordinates, and administers the various instructional and student-oriented programs maintained by and operated through the Siskiyou County Office of Education, with emphasis on special education, court school, and community schools, and other student program supervision. Budget and LCAP development and monitoring for the various program areas is a shared responsibility of the Executive Director of Special Education/SELPA, working in cooperation with other office staff. This position requires frequent travel throughout Siskiyou County and California.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possess a California Administrative Services Credential • Three years of school administration and leadership • Three years of providing services to students with disabilities • Experience in budget development and oversight • Managerial experience in supervision, support, and evaluation of certificated and classified employees PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Advanced degree in education preferred • Five years of special education leadership • Experience in interagency coordination of services for students with disabilities THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION:
