Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has an immediate opening for an Associate Athletic Performance Coach. ? This full-time, exempt position will be responsible for helping to coach the athletes and operate a successful strength program to provide the athletes with a first-class experience. Candidate must assist in planning and conducting programs for athletic teams. Provide individual and group instruction to improve athlete’s skills and understanding of the skills utilized in the weight room. Ensure a safe environment during all weight room related activities. Candidate should be dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love. Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field is preferred. Experience/Required Skills: At least 1-3 years of experience within a high school or collegiate setting. Experience with design and implementation of a strength and conditioning program. Certifications: Current USA- Weightlifting certification preferred. Current NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC certification preferred. Current CPR, AED, and First aid certification preferred.
