Mayacamas Countywide Middle School is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Executive Director/Head of School for our new charter school, which opened in Fall 2024. The Head of School serves as the lead administrator of the school and is hired by and reports directly to the Board of Directors. ORGANIZATION PROFILE Mayacamas Countywide Middle School (“MCMS”) is a 6-8th grade public charter middle school that works to build on the strength of the of proven New Tech Network Project-Based Learning Model while utilizing best-in-class curricular elements to meet the growing needs of Napa’s diverse community of families. With a goal to have approximately 60% unduplicated pupil population by the end of our first Charter Term (Class of 2029), MCMS is a diverse by design middle school, where socio-economically and racially/ethnically diverse students – who have diverse learning needs – benefit from a highly personalized program that differentiates instruction to meet individual students’ needs. Through project-based learning, online learning, best-in-class curricular elements, and a strong focus on students’ individual learning needs and social-emotional development, Mayacamas will ensure students master state content standards and grow developmentally in an inclusive, welcoming and supportive school culture.
