St. Margaret’s Episcopal School is now accepting applications for an opening in the History Department of the Upper School Division (9th-12th grade) beginning August 2025. We are seeking an exceptional educator who is a clear and effective communicator with a deep understanding of pedagogy and innovative instruction in the history and religion classrooms. A successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to think critically about historical events and their impact on society. The position will include teaching history and world religion courses. Key Responsibilities: -Design and implement engaging, challenging, and culturally responsive assessments that encourage critical thinking and creativity in the classroom. -Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to share their perspectives and ideas about history and world religions. -Attend professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest research and teaching methods in the field of history and religious education. -Serve as a mentor to students and help them develop a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom. -Collaborate with chaplains on curriculum design and development and best pedagogical practices.
