Requirements / Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in special education or related field and one year experience working with special education students in an organized setting including some work with handicapped students. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Director II-Special Education, provide behavioral health services and assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to small groups and individual students with language, social, motor skill, learning, and/or behavioral disabilities; develop, implement and monitor program curriculum and teaching strategies to enhance student learning activities; assist in providing learning activities and meeting the special needs of assigned students; monitor student behavior and health conditions. *Full Time Equivalent
