General Responsibilities
-
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director the Human Resources Specialist II is responsible for supporting multiple Human Resource functions including recruitment & hiring, onboarding, and the processing of temporary employee and participant hiring & payment forms.
Assignment:
This position is full-time, year-round. It will close on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. and first interviews will be tentatively held on January 23, 2025 and January 24, 2025.

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding Human Resources topics in-person and via phone & email.
- Partner with the Employment Team to support recruitment & hiring activities to include, but not limited to, advertising, posting positions, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Process temporary employee and participant paperwork.
- Coordinate and implement employee onboarding activities.
- Serve as a back-up to fingerprinting services; agency reception; and agency mail
- Process E-Verify and employment verifications.
- Assist with Human Resources and ESD activities, events, and special projects.
- Partner with Employment Team to coordinate and attend recruitment events.
- Participate in agency committees as assigned.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills
-
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher and two years of Human Resources or related experience OR a high school diploma or GED and four years of Human Resources or related experience.
- Two years of experience working in a professional office environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in an education, not-for-profit, or public sector organization.
- Experience working with and serving diverse populations
- Experience using an integrated employment application system.

- Office environment.
- Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
Employment Requirements:- Successful completion of a criminal history check through the Washington State Patrol.
