Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Principal, perform a variety of technical duties in the set-up, operation and coordination of electronic devices, audio-visual equipment, stage components and lighting for assemblies, theater productions and other special events; schedule, arrange and coordinate related support activities to assure smooth and efficient event activities; perform related maintenance and custodial activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

*Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level coursework in theater production or related field. *Two years experience in the production of theater, special events or related activities including work in the operation and maintenance of electronics, audio-visual equipment, and theatrical systems.

Location: Brea Olinda High School Hours: 8.0 hours 5 days/week Monday - Friday 12.0 mos./year Sick leave and vacation are earned on a prorated basis at a rate of one day per month. There is an available insurance policy for hospitalization, major medical, dental, vision, and life. School employees must join the State School Employees Retirement System. California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: "Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee." Article VI, 6.3.2 states: "When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees." All applicants must possess the personal qualifications generally recognized as essential to become an understanding public employee including integrity, initiative, dependability, courtesy, good judgment, and ability to work with others. Applicants may be rejected on the basis of an incomplete application or failure to meet the minimum posted qualifications.
