Job Summary

This post is for bilingual (Spanish) certificated subs. If you speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish, and would be comfortable subbing in a classroom conducted entirely in Spanish, please apply. We currently have a Dual Language Immersion program at Dos Caminos with classes taking place in Spanish in TK, K, 1 as well as middle school Spanish and we want to ensure that Spanish instruction can continue on days teachers are out. If you are interested in subbing in these classes, please contact our office immediately.

Requirements / Qualifications

Pleasant Valley serves 5,700 pre K – 8th grade students within 11 schools across our community. The PVSD strategic plan reflects our commitment to preparing 100% of our students for high school, college, and beyond, through high expectations and excellence for all. A 30 day Emergency Substitute Teacher Permit or Credential is required- Work with Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE) to complete the application for a substitute permit by emailing their Credentials Department hrcredentials@voce.org. Human Resources Credential Analysts will help you apply for the 30 day Emergency Substitute Teacher Permit. DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY with CTC it will delay the process.
