POSITION AVAILABLE: EXPANDED LEARNING PURCHASING TECHNICIAN 6 hours -12 months (7:30 am – 2:30 pm) QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience involving purchasing functions. Completion of some college coursework in finance or accounting preferred. 2. Perform a variety of technical duties involved in purchasing supplies, materials and equipment for Expanded Learning. 3. Research and evaluate vendors and other sources of supply. 4. Obtain quotes and confer with vendors concerning price, specifications, product information, availability, delivery, and other matters. 5. Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of regular store stock items in accordance with Expanded Learning needs. Compile information and prepare a variety of records, reports and files. 6. Develop, update and maintain Expanded Learning forms and documents as directed; modify forms to meet Expanded Learning needs. Prepare, process, and distribute purchase orders. 7. Ensure the smooth and timely delivery of goods. 8. Meet schedules and deadlines. 9. Operate a variety of office equipment, computers and software. 10.
