The Director of Student Services/SELPA Director is a dual-role position serving the educational needs of Alpine County Unified School District (ACUSD) and the Alpine County Office of Education (ACOE) (a combined entity) while leading the Tahoe-Alpine Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), which includes three organizations: ACUSD, ACOE and Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD). This position ensures high-quality services for students across all areas of responsibility, aligning special education and student support services with district and SELPA goals.

This leadership position requires someone with strong inter- and intra-personal skills which includes engaging with staff, students, parents, community members in a strong and composed manner, as well as self-awareness and ability accept constructive criticism and ability to reflect on interactions without affecting ability to perform tasks.

Preference is granted for an individual with successful experience working with a Native American student and community population.
