(ELA & Math) ______ Brilliant Microschools is a network of accredited online schools serving over 1,500 students nationwide. Our certified teachers differentiate each child’s learning pathway. They track student growth & allow them to progress at their own pace, with the help of adaptive learning software. Our mastery-based curriculum is designed with a mix of compelling modern media, classical texts, exciting projects & rigorous exercises that engage them deeply. We are looking for a committed Teacher to teach our mixed-aged class of middle school students. The daily class schedule will include 3 hrs of live online instruction (through Zoom), per class. You will be able to take on 1 or 2 classes per day. Working hours will be 10:00 am-1:00 pm EST and/or 1:30 pm-4:30 pm EST, Monday through Friday. You will be responsible for implementing a full educational teaching plan according to your student's needs. You will have access to all required tools and a very well organized curriculum. It will be fundamental to provide students with knowledge and instruction while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal teacher will also have the ability to reach out to parents and create a relationship of mutual trust. Our team will support you at every turn, helping improve your skills as an online educator. We provide regular professional development sessions and resources to help you become more tech-savvy and learn more about implementing online self-directed learning practices. Responsibilities Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning. Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning. Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, etc.). Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback. Maintain an orderly online classroom. Collaborate with parents and align on expectations. Plan and execute educational project-based learning activities. Requirements To succeed in this role, you'll need to be an incredible communicator with a passion for teaching and building relationships with your students and their families. Having patience and the ability to nurture and develop a high level of trust with students. The ideal candidate will also have: A degree in teaching with a certificate in education Proven experience as a teacher Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal, educational guidelines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Special Education teaching experience. Job Type: Contract Pay: $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week Schedule: Monday to Friday
