Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Fiscal Services shall develop, control, and analyze categorical and school-wide budget development, compile various reports for school management, county, state, and federal government agencies, and supervise assigned personnel. Requirements / Qualifications

Proof of Highest Level of Education . Bachelor’s degree required. . Five years of experience at a school site dealing with attendance, student data, and policy. . Record keeping, office organization, and clerical skills. . Complete knowledge of HCCTS attendance policies, procedures, terminology, and accounting methods. . In-depth knowledge of attendance recording and reporting requirements and formats. . Ability to communicate with a diverse community. . A core understanding of applicable State Education Codes related to attendance accounting. . Directing and providing leadership to staff. . Effectively organize, manage, and direct the work of others; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. . Requires knowledge of and skill at using computer-aided office productivity software and specialized applications for recording student information. . Requires sufficient math skills to compile alphanumeric data, statistics, and trends. . Meet schedules and timelines. . Effectively present complex policy and practice information to multiple audiences via oral and written media. . Encourages and motivates employees to enhance individual skills, promote professional growth to maximize staff performance. Supports successful employee transition to work duty changes. . Provide proof of the possession of a valid California driver's license.

. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. . Operation of a computer and assigned software. . Deep belief in the transformative power of education and a commitment to serving underrepresented communities. . Ethical conduct, integrity, and confidentiality applicable to attendance policies and procedures. . A comprehensive understanding of attendance accounting standards and practices. . Apply independent judgment to the interpretation and application of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
