Job Summary
The Director of Student Support will work under the direct supervision of the Associate Executive Director of Student Services and will manage the Student Support Department, which includes the 504 Team, the Student Support Team (SST), the Students in Crisis, the Intervention Teachers, Student Support Speech & Language Pathologists, Student Support Program Specialists, Mental Health Professionals, and classified staff. The Director of Student Support will analyze and manage data to determine school and student needs, creating and supporting programs to establish educationally based multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). The Director will support the development and implementation of academic and social-emotional strategies. The Director will communicate and collaborate with other department leads to ensure that programs are implemented and maintained with best practices. All employees are expected to follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the Employee Handbook.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possess a valid California Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential Possess a valid California Administrative Credential or demonstrate intention to obtain preferred Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university Up to five years of qualified work experience may be granted on the pay scale
Possess a valid California driver’s license; Resident of Orange County, California or adjacent counties.
