Job Summary

The School Social Work Program Specialist will assist in School Social Work professional development, involvement in high profile cases, and School Social Work staff training and support. This position will provide leadership, guidance and coaching in the implementation of the regional MTSS framework. The School Social Work Program Specialist will collaborate with school staff and various internal and external partners to meet program goals and standards, program compliance and reporting, and to ensure students access resources and benefits to support their academic success. Specialist will also serve as the field supervisor for university level social work interns, adhering to the requirements of the L4L social work program and university standards. This position reports to the Area Superintendent or Designee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Social Work required Valid California Pupil Personnel Credential in School Social Work required Valid California Pupil Personnel Credential in Child Welfare and Attendance required 2 years of successful, full-time employment in assignment (s) requiring a Standard Pupil Services Credential authorizing service in social work required Leadership experience performing School Social Worker duties in a school environment required Experience with Charter schools and Independent Study settings preferred Proficient in using student information data systems Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Able to travel in performance of job duties is required Able to lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds of force (almost all office jobs) occasionally Benefits: We are committed to providing quality and affordable benefits to our employees.
