Job Summary

Job Summary

JOB GOAL: To assist Credentialed School Nurse with providing for the health and safety of the students and managing the health office by providing first aid for ill or injured students, administering medications, performing medical procedures and maintaining students' health records. Employees in this classification receive direct and indirect supervision from a school or lead nurse within a framework of well-defined policies and procedures. Duties are in alignment with established MVUSD policies and procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

Complete EDJOIN online application is required. Professional References must be from evaluating administrator. These positions are open to MVUSD classified current employees only. MVUSD Substitutes do not qualify at this time. Summer school positions are temporary assignments and are contingent upon continuing student enrollment. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements of the position to be considered. Employees working in their own classification are paid their own hourly rate of pay. *Paid Orientation/Training is TBD

Training and Experience: 1. A good work history and attendance. 2. Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, including courses in office practices and mathematics. 3. One (1) year of experience working with the SASI or other a computerized attendance system is desired. 4. Two (2) years of detailed clerical and accounting experience, including use of computer. 5. Any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities may be considered.
