BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of specialized duties in support of employment placement and transition services for students with special needs; identify and develop prospective work sites and/or internships; assist individual students with developing career/technical education and pre-employment skills; network and recruit potential employers; serve as a liaison between students, personnel, employers and outside agencies regarding employment services, opportunities and placement; train and provide work direction to students, job/transition coaches and others as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by two years college-level course work in general education, psychology, special education or a related field and three years experience working with secondary-age students in work-training programs. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license.
