The Multi-Disciplinary Success Centers of the Long Beach Community College District is seeking a highly-qualified individual to be an Instructional Aide-Student Success Center. This incumbent will provide assistance in the operation and maintenance of a Student Success Center; provide assistance to individuals or groups of students according to instruction and prepare instructional materials and equipment for teacher and student use as requested and according to approved procedures. We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience who has experience in providing assistance to students according to instructions, as well as using a variety of instructional equipment including computer software, printers, copiers and more. • Type of position: Part-Time (18 hours/week)• Position Status: Permanent• Schedule: Monday-Saturday (May include day and evening hours)• Location: Will support both campuses, and could be located at either the Liberal Arts Campus (LAC) or Trades, Technology, and Community Learning Campus (TTC)• Salary: Range 18, $1,704.70 - $2,090.40 Monthly• Eligibility list: Will be valid for 6 months once approved or ratified by the Personnel Commission. We reserve the right to use the established eligibility list for vacancies (permanent and temporary) in this classification as well as related classifications.• Advanced salary placement: Generally, new employees start at the first step on the salary schedule. Duties
GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Instructional Specialist, provide instructional and clerical assistance in the Student Success Center. Assist students in the proper use of equipment and materials; and perform related duties as assigned.

Instructional Aide - Student Success Center provides assistance in the operation and maintenance of a Student Success Center; provides assistance to individuals or groups of students according to instructions. Prepare instructional materials and equipment for teachers' and student use as requested and according to approved procedures.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent and two (2) years of customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:May require a valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the City's vehicle insurance policy.
Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the selection process. Candidate qualifications will be assessed to determine those who meet and exceed requirements and are deemed most competitive amongst the applicant pool to proceed.
