Job Summary
Provide high-quality instruction in a small-school environment where every student is known and valued. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Establish a culture of high expectations, including the belief that all students will attend college. Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with California State Standards and Aspire Instructional Guidelines. Assess student learning regularly, analyze data, and refine instruction to meet diverse student needs. Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen instructional practices and share best practices. Communicate consistently with students and families regarding classroom activities and student progress, and actively engage parents and guardians as partners in student learning. Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Participate in professional development and collaborate with lead teachers, instructional coaches, and school leaders. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance. Identify individual student needs and collaborate with team members to provide appropriate supports. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of child development, learning styles, subject matter standards, and assessments. Ability to analyze student data, implement Aspire Instructional Guidelines, reflect on practice, and collaborate effectively. Strong computer and technology skills. Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree required. Valid California Single Subject English Teaching Credential required. English Learner Authorization and NCLB Highly Qualified status required. Experience: One or more years of experience working with students preferred.
