Job Summary

Job Summary

This position is a GRANT BASED position with funding through June 2029. The Community School District Coordinator (CSDC) is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the community school initiative for the Lawndale Elementary School District. This role includes overseeing the execution of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) grants. The CSDC will hire and supervise school site coordinators who are spearheading the CCSPP initiative at their respective schools. As a liaison between families, youth leaders, government partners, and nonprofit organizations, the CSDC will foster collaboration using a whole-child approach. This includes building and sustaining partnerships to support the academic success, health, and well-being of historically marginalized students. In addition, the CSDC will support a community coalition that develops systems to connect families with essential resources that promote family stability. The CSDC will also actively seek funding for the sustainability of the community school initiative and monitor student data to assess the impact of services. Ultimately, the CSDC’s work aligns with both the Community School’s Initiative and the district's strategic plans to enhance academic outcomes and improve the overall health and well-being of all students by transforming schools and removing barriers to learning.
