Requirements / Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Two years of experience working with students and families in an educational, clinical, or community-based setting conducting linkages and referrals or community outreach. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation or ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. Positions in this class may be required to work outside of regular working hours and may be assigned to various sites throughout Los Angeles County as needed by the job. Some positions in this classification may require obtaining certification as a Certified Enrollment Counselor for Covered California. Some positions in this classification may require oral and written skills in a second designated language. Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
