Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Possession of a bachelor’s degree (or higher) earned at a regionally accredited college or university meets the basic skills requirement (BSR. Effective 6/29/24, Senate Bill 153). - Valid California Teaching Credential or 30-day Substitute Permit (If you do not have one RUSD will assist you in the process of obtaining it.) - Must be an active member in the Placer County Office of Education Consortium (If you are not already a member, RUSD will guide you through the process of joining the consortium). Applicants who meet the State requirements for a valid California Teaching Credential or a 30-day Substitute Permit will be referred to Placer County Office of Education for processing through the PCOE Substitute Consortium. In order to be considered for substitute teacher positions in the Rocklin Unified School District candidates MUST be processed through the Placer County Office of Education. We will send PCOE a referral for you to join the consortium. The referral from RUSD will expedite the processing time with the Placer County of Education's (PCOE) Substitute Consortium and the Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC).
