Description of Position Under the direction of the School Principal(s) or assigned designee, teach, and instruct students in the field of music to include choral music, instrumental music, percussion, techniques of music, music history and terminology. Position motivates student to develop an interest in and appreciation of the arts of music. The incumbent in this position will plan, develop, organize, and assist in the operation of comprehensive music program for students; perform other related functions as required.

THIS IS FOR A FULLK-12 MUSIC TEACHER - STARTING FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR THIS IS NOT A CTE POSITION Assignment: Elementary (Kindergarten – 5th Grade) Middle School (6th Grade – 8th Grade) -Middle School Choir High School (9th Grade – 12th Grade) - High School Choir Drum line for Future Years $11,750 in Health and Welfare Benefits Longevity Stipend at 5 Years of service Minimum Qualifications: • Valid California Multiple Subject Credential Music • EL Authorization Application Packet: Interested applicants are required to submit the following: • Letter of Interest • Resume • Two (2) current reference letters • Copy of Credential(s) from CTC website with expiration date and details listed. • Copy of unofficial transcripts (official transcripts will be requested only if selected for position) Please make sure to attach all documents on Ed Join when applying.

Units beyond Column I are semester units. Quarter units are converted to semester units on a scale of three (3) units to two (2) semester units. (Quarter Units x .667 = semester units.) Official transcript or official credit certificate will be required as verification for Column placement within thirty (30) calendar days from first day of paid service. (Column 1-6) o Verification of years of service (step placement) - Credit will be given for all verified full-time service. A year must equal at least 75% of the calendared work year days in one year. Credit will not be given for substitute or student teaching. Verification of employment will be required on a school verification form within thirty (30) calendar days from first day of paid service. (Steps 1 – 15)
