The District is seeking an innovative District office leader to support the diverse needs of students, families, and the community through the role of the Human Resource Officer. The ideal candidate will possess administrative leadership experience as a principal, vice principal, or comparable instructional leadership experience and hold a valid Administrative Services Credential. Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to support, train and guide all levels of school district leaders (principals, department managers, supervisors, etc.) in all personnel matters. Desired experience includes site or district-level leadership experience in a diverse, urban school district or public entity; specifically seeking candidates who have lead at the secondary or District level. BASIC FUNCTION: Plan, organize, control, and direct a team of specialized human resources staff in one of two functional areas: staffing or support management; develop a mission, goals, and achievable and measurable objectives within the overall goals of the Human Resources Division.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to a master’s degree in human resources or a related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible human resources experience in a school district with expertise in one or more of the two functional areas (staffing or support management). Effective administrative leadership as a principal, vice principal, or comparable administrative and related instructional leadership experience is preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Administrative Services Credential - Preferred Possession of a valid California driver's license
