Job Summary

San Marino High School is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Varsity Badminton Coach to lead our badminton program. The ideal candidate will inspire student-athletes to achieve their highest potential both on and off the court, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the varsity badminton program, including practices, matches, and tournaments. Develop and implement a competitive training program that enhances players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness. Promote good sportsmanship, leadership, and respect among team members. Collaborate with school staff, athletic director, and other coaches to ensure compliance with school policies and athletic league requirements. Manage team schedules, transportation, and communication with parents and players. Monitor the academic progress and personal development of student-athletes. Uphold San Marino High School's commitment to excellence in education and extracurricular activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

Cover Letter, Resume, Three letters of Recommendation Qualifications: * Proven experience as a badminton coach or player. * Strong knowledge of badminton techniques, rules, and strategies. * Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes of varying skill levels. * Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. * CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). * Must pass a background check and meet district employment requirements. Preferred Qualifications: * Prior coaching experience at the varsity level. * Knowledge of CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) rules and regulations. * Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
