Teachers provide instruction to facilitate student learning and guide students in the learning of the district adopted curriculum while maintaining high standards of achievement for all students. The Fire Science/First Responder CTE Teacher assumes responsibility for guiding students towards entry-level employment in Fire Science-First Responder careers. Through instruction, training, and career preparation, the teacher equips students with fundamental skills and knowledge required for roles in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and firefighting. The focus lies in cultivating a comprehensive understanding of fire safety principles, emergency medical services, and disaster assistance protocols. The Fire Science/First Responder teacher will teach a series of courses in the Emergency Response Pathway within the Public Services Industry Sector.
