Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE • High school diploma or equivalent. • Five years’ experience in skilled maintenance and repair of air conditioning and heating units and electrical troubleshooting. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California driver’s License. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for coverage under the District’s liability insurance carrier. • EPA refrigerant certificate (Type II or universal for proper refrigerant usage). • Computer skills. Must pass District computer literacy test. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS • Proof of High School Graduation: Diploma or Equivalent (transcripts in lieu of certification/diploma ok) • Letters of Recommendation: Two Letters, must be signed and dated within the last two years • EPA refrigerant certificate (Type II or universal for proper refrigerant usage). Calculators may be brought in for testing - no cell phone usage. Please report at least 15 minutes prior to testing time, the test will begin promptly. Photo ID is required at check-in. Test results for are valid for two years (24 Months), if you have passed the test for HVAC with our district, you must submit proof of your passing score with your application, attach your test results to your application. All applicants must apply on www.edjoin.org and pass the pre-employment test with a score of 75% or higher to be considered for this position. All applicants are invited to test on the specified date.
