A. General Description of Position Goals: Under general supervision, to perform skilled master level plumbing work in the installation, maintenance, alteration, repair, and the occasional new projects/renovations of equipment and structures. The distinction of this class from the classification of Plumber is that the work assigned the incumbent to perform is one the master level in the plumbing trade.

B. Essential Job Functions: 1. Performs skilled work in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems. 2. Repairs, replaces and adjusts existing plumbing, pipes, piping systems, valves, fittings, ballcocks, and other fixtures. 3. Installation of water piping, taps, water mains, sewer mains, and laterals. 4. Installs plumbing systems and fixtures including sinks, hot water heaters, drinking fountains, etc. for the purpose of providing comfort, sanitation and safety within facilities. 5. Inspects and renovates plumbing systems for the purpose of meeting appropriate accessibility to students, staff, and the public and/or building code/s (safety and health). 6. Repairs water supply, waste sewage, drainage pipes and minor welding. 7. Cleans out drains and obstructions in water and sewer systems. 8. Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns. 9. Maintain, order and inventory supplies, tools, equipment, tools, clean, and safe working environment to insure adequate materials are available to complete assignments. 10. Repairs natural gas and propane regulators, supply lines, and other controls for gas/propane supply systems. 11. Prepares written documents (e.g. work orders including time materials, cost, plans, etc.) for the purpose of conveying information and meeting district, local, state and federal requirements. 12. Transport various items (e.g. equipment, tractors, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of providing materials at job sites as required to complete tasks.

Education and Experience Required: Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent. Experience: At least five (5) years of experience performing plumbing work or have completed an apprenticeship training program and two (2) years working as plumber. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing: TB Test Clearance Possess a valid California Class C driver’s license Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance Successfully Pass District Assessment Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (Required upon hire) or exemption may be requested to HR **BLANK/INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED** All District employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Successful applicants for this position will be required to submit proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or request an exemption for qualifying medical or religious reasons during the onboarding process.
