About the Employer The Galt Joint Union High School District is located in a rural area south of Sacramento, midway between the California Delta region and the foothills. The district provides a high school education (grades 9-12) for nearly 2,000 students from the City of Galt and neighboring communities. The district boundaries straddle the county line between Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties and encompasses four feeder districts. Originally an agricultural region, the district remains partially agricultural, but has also become a southern suburb of Sacramento, with extensive housing developments and associated commercial and retail businesses. The district encompasses two comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school and one adult education school and offers a broad range of courses and opportunities to their students.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a master's degree in accounting, business, or public administration from an accredited institution, preferred. Examples of an equivalent master’s degree may consist of a Certified Public Accountant license; Chief Business Official certificate from a professional organization (i.e., FCMAT, CASBO, School Services). A minimum of five (5) years' school district experience, preferred. Successful experience in planning, organizing, and directing a broad management program, with leadership in and responsibility for multiple departments, such as risk management, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, facilities, maintenance and operations, food services, and transportation.
