About the Employer

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County’s most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 475,000 students. In addition to providing direct instruction to students through its own alternative and special education programs, OCDE administers an array of programs and services that are critical to the operations of local school districts and community colleges, facilitating professional development, legal guidance, payroll, career and technical education support, high-speed internet access, Local Control and Accountability Plan assistance and approval, resources for families, and student enrichment. Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Producer for Media Production Services who thrives in dynamic environments and excels in both studio and field video production. This role involves managing large-scale live events, directing live broadcasts, and overseeing the complete production process from concept to final product. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be open to feedback, ensuring high-quality outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and Execute Productions: Manage the full lifecycle of video productions, including pre-production planning, on-set direction, and post production editing. Direct Live Events: Oversee and stage manage large-scale live events, ensuring seamless integration of multimedia presentations, sound, and lighting. Script Development: Write, review, and edit scripts for instructional, promotional, and public information programming. Oversee Multimedia Integration: Design and implement multimedia elements such as video graphics, special effects, and live web streaming for various productions. Collaborate with Team Members: Provide technical support and guidance, assisting in script development and multimedia production.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in communications, television production, or a closely related field. • Five (5) years of progressively responsible video/audio production experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in live/web streaming production and the use of broadcast quality and high-end production equipment is preferred.
