To work individually with students to ensure that they are accessing the general education setting. Supporting students classroom behaviors and helping to adapt learning materials as needed.

MATERIALS: Application and Resume Two letters of recommendation/reference Please submit an Edjoin application and attach two letters of recommendation/reference. Finger prints/background check is required (if hired) and STREAM will reimburse the cost. CPR/First aid is required (if hired) and STREAM will pay for your class.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience: Previous experience working with children is preferred. Skills: • Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. • Ability to relate to children in a positive, but firm, manner. • Good interpersonal and communication skills with children and adults. • Ability to work as a member of a team. • Ability to document progress, growth and areas of need. Knowledge and Understanding: • Stages of children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. • Basic childcare health and safety knowledge. Other: • Strong work ethic, honest, and punctual. • CPR Training (when hired). • Additional behavioral training as appropriate (provided by site when hired).
REPORTS TO: Intervention Teacher
EVALUATION: Performance is evaluated by the Intervention Teacher. STARTING WAGE/HOURS: $20.00 per hour.
