Join Our Team as a 1st Grade Long-Term Substitute Teacher!

Gindi Maimonides Academy is looking for a dedicated and dynamic educator to step in as a 1st Grade Long-Term Substitute Teacher! This role will cover a family leave period of up to three months (exact dates TBD) and provides a unique opportunity to join our supportive and collaborative teaching environment.

What We’re Looking For:

- A Experienced Elementary Teacher: A valid teaching credential is preferred (out-of-state credentials accepted), with lead classroom experience required.

- Flexible & Adaptable: Eager to embrace our students’ individual learning needs and differentiate instruction accordingly.

- Classroom Management Skills: Able to create a respectful, high-expectations environment that encourages students to take risks and strive for their personal best.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with grade-level colleagues to plan objective-driven, multimodal lessons aligned with Common Core and Maimonides standards.

- Foster critical thinking and creativity while leveraging technology to support diverse learning experiences.

- Communicate consistently with parents and caregivers to build strong partnerships and ensure student success.

Details & Benefits:

- Hours: 7:45 AM – 12:30 PM Monday - Thursday, 7:45 AM – 12:00 PM on Fridays.

- Class Size: Small, supportive classes with 18-22 students.
