Job Summary
The job of Benefits Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing customer service and support to the delivery of all aspects of employee benefits and benefit information; resolving insurance benefit, retirement, reporting and reconciliation problems; providing information to new and current employees, providers and/or administrators; and ensuring employee proof of coverage and accurate billing. This job reports to the Executive Director of Fiscal Services with work direction from the Benefits Specialist.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired. Education: Targeted job-related education that meets organization’s prerequisite requirements. Certificates & Licenses: Current typing certificate at an acceptable rate of speed Must possess a valid California Driver's License During course of employment; must be insurable at standard rates and maintain such insurability during the course of Employment. Clearances Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance TB Clearance Physical Exam Drug Screen Must complete any mandatory training assigned by the District that is generally applicable to all classified employees or employees in this classification in particular. Required Testing: Testing will take place on Monday November 18, 2024 at the Grossmont Union High School District and is by invitation only.
