Our students are junior tennis players interested in playing tennis at the collegiate level. It is located in the beautiful Ojai Valley in Southern California, just 17 miles from the beach and minutes from mountains with great hiking trails.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our small but dynamic team at Weil Tennis Academy and College Preparatory School beginning immediately for the academic school year. This teacher would be one who can commit to staying with the school as the English Department Head for years to come. As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping our students' academic journey, fostering a love for literature, and helping them develop strong communication skills. If you are an enthusiastic educator with a background in teaching Junior High English through English 4 AP (Literature and Composition), we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. This listing is to fill a current role with a start date as soon as Monday, November 4th. Responsibilities: -Conduct classes from Monday to Thursday from 8:15 am to 12:30 pm. We do not hold school on Fridays. Class sizes from from six to 15 students. -Hold Office Hours one night a week (Tuesdays) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. -Act as an adviser to a small group of students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal development. -Teach a range of English courses from English 2 (10th grade English) to English 4 (12th grade English), including AP Language and Composition and AP Literature and Composition. -Implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. -Utilize a variety of teaching methods, materials, and assessments to accommodate various learning styles. -Benefit from the advantage of small class sizes, which allow for personalized attention and foster meaningful teacher-student relationships The candidate should be familiar with the LMS system Canvas.
