Job Summary

Under general direction, is responsible for the operation of the District's Behavior Support Program; supervises the activities of assigned personnel; plans and directs behavioral intervention programs for school-aged children; administers a budget and budgeted expenditures. This is a management position.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social/behavioral science or a related field; OR Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, behavior analysis, behavior science, human development, social work, rehabilitation or in a related field desirable; AND Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required; Experience 1. Two years of professional experience working with school-aged children with challenging behaviors in the public school setting is desirable; 2. Training in a variety of methodologies related to working with students with autism and related disorders, including advanced experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA); 3. Experience in the development and implementation of behavioral support programs; 4. Specialized training or coursework in childcare, child behavior, psychology or teaching and related fields desirable; Bilingual Spanish and/or Vietnamese desirable.

THE EXAMINATION: Applicants who pass the application review (paper screening) will be invited to a Level 1 oral exam interview. Following the oral exam interview, the top three rankings based on the exam scores will be sent forward to the final interview process. To move forward, you must score an 80% or higher on the Oral exam.
