Job Summary
Assists one or more teachers in the direct care and supervision of preschool-aged children in an education-oriented child care facility. Assists with play oriented learning activities. Education required: The position requires the equivalent of a high school diploma, passing of a proficiency exam in reading, math, and writing, and concurrent experience working with infant-to p reschool aged children in a play-oriented learning or equivalent environment. Requires 6 units Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Childhood Development (CD) per Childhood Development Permit Matrix.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must possess, or be eligible to obtain within 30 days from date of hire, and maintain a Child Development "Assistant" (or higher) permit (6 units of college level training in early childhood education), and a pediatric first aid/CPR certificate and food handler’s license. The Preschool's are located on the Campo Elementary School campus in Campo, CA and on the Potrero Elementary School Campus in Potrero, CA in the southeastern mountains of San Diego County, approximately 50 miles east of the city of San Diego.
