Job Summary
Oak Tree Schools provide academically rich environments that promote social and emotional development for children. Our programs are dedicated to closing achievement and access gaps for Black, Latino, and economically challenged students. We are a Title 5 center, and candidates must have at least 12 Core ECE Units and be willing to apply for their teaching permit. We are seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented teachers to join our dynamic team. Candidates should be passionate about helping children thrive academically and emotionally, and be ready to learn and apply our MAE for Pre-K curriculum. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with parents to provide the best care and education for children. • Work closely with a supportive team of teachers while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment based on ECERS and ITERS standards. • Foster children’s academic, social, and emotional development through written observations used for data collection. • Follow California Title 5 standards, including classroom preparation and maintenance, in alignment with program standards and the MAE for Pre-K curriculum. • Use the MAE for Pre-K curriculum effectively. • Attend all required meetings, training sessions, and in-services while ensuring the safety of children and classrooms. Qualifications: • A positive, flexible, and innovative approach to teaching. • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support program growth. • Commitment to fostering children’s learning and emotional development.

Teacher Qualifications A permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorizing service in the care, development, and instruction of children in a child care and development program. This can be either of the following permits: Regular Children’s Center Instructional Permit Limited Children’s Center Instructional Permit Emergency Children’s Center Instructional Permit Child Development Master Teacher Permit Child Development Teacher Permit Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (Note: This permit authorizes the holder to supervise Assistant Permit holders and an aide.)
