Job Summary
We are seeking a California-credentialed part-time teacher to teach Journalism, Media Literacy, and English Language Arts (ELA). The ideal candidate will guide students in developing essential writing, research, media evaluation, and communication skills while fostering a love for language and storytelling. Responsibilities: - Design and deliver engaging journalism, media literacy, and ELA lessons. - Teach students to analyze media critically and recognize credible sources. - Guide students in journalistic writing, including reporting, interviewing, and editing. - Develop students' reading, writing, and communication skills through project-based learning. - Integrate current events into lessons to connect classroom learning to the real world. - Foster a collaborative environment by managing class publications or student projects (e.g., newsletters, blogs). - Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback. - Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community.

- Valid California Teaching Credential in English or a related subject.
