Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Community, Family, and Support Services. The role involves coordinating and facilitating efforts to engage parents in their children's academic, attendance, health, and social-emotional success. This includes organizing and supporting various services, programs, meetings, and training sessions to enhance family involvement and improve the educational experience. This position requires regular communication with parents, school staff, and community resources, as well as tracking and monitoring engagement efforts. Additionally, the role includes organizing events to foster community relationships and advocating for parent needs within the school and district. Professional development and modeling values of equity, integrity, and collaboration are essential. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and some college training preferred College or equivalent training in interpersonal relations desired Experience in community relations or related activities with adults and/or parents Ability and willingness to work with educators in promoting improved home-school relations Ability to work effectively with staff, students, parents and public Excellent language, written expression, and oral communication skills Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions Knowledge of community agencies and resources available to assist with family needs Willingness to work different hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary Possession of valid California driver's license and personal automobile for use on district business Bilingual ability may be required, depending on assignment REPORTS TO: Administrator as assigned JOB GOAL: To engage families in strengthening relationships within the school community, building their capacity to support learning at home, and facilitating access to community resources that address barriers to learning. High School Diploma or equivalent Possession of valid California driver's license and personal automobile for use on district business Typing certificate - 40 net wpm (Valid certificate within three years of the deadline of this bulletin) Resume
